Hearthfast magic is arcane technology (magical device) that shields a dwarvenfire weapon from the anti-combustion power of Saint Iphiala's Fire. It was invented and first used in 2628. Today, there are both arcane spells and magical devices which use this magic. In 2664, the Sparkless was invented to overcome the protective power of hearthfast magic.
