Recommended Anglicization: /əˌmɑːlkuːˈmiːr/. Recommended international pronunciation: /aˌmaːlkuˈmiːr/. Also spelled: 'Amalkumir'. Amalcumir is a freshwater lake situated in northern Vimalia between Lake Vimala and Sartrana Harbor (aka the Inlet of Shandughira). It is fed by the Great Cataracts of Liluthio and in turn drains by the Cataracts of Jakhushra into the sea to the north. The Lake hugs the base of the cyclopean walls of the ancient city of Johaulia. Lake Amalcumir, at 1.28 DF (207m or 679 feet) above sea level, rests below the higher elevation of Lake Vimala which rests at 3.8 DF (613m or 2011 feet) above sea level.

Lake Amalcumir rests in northern Vimalia which is a temperate rainforest (often called a Mediterranean Rainforest).

Lake Amalcumir is a great tourist attraction in Vimalia. Numerous companies offer sightseeing via lake-boats and aerobarges along the western and southern shore of the city of Johaulia and take tourists to view the city from the lake and the the Great Cataracts of Liluthio.
