First Senate

According to tradition, Aurician farmers, merchants, and priests first elected members of a senate in the 12th century (1100's).

Mage Senate

1276 to 1287, Omandral Sorcerer King appoints almost one hundred mages as the senators of Aurice to ensure its loyalty to him.

Merchant Republic

  • 1417 first duke elected by aristocratic council of Aurice
  • 1500, Republic of Orissaçaugo, greater dominion of Aurice which corresponds roughly with modern Goscundy
  • Duke Tontegal, to 1637 (slain by member of his guard)
