The Nobiliary Monies Act of 124 ARCY was created in 2750 by the Noble Senate of Aurice to raise funds to pay for great wartime expenses. To raise money during the Adamantine Wars, the Noble Senate sold non-senatorial noble offices of Metropolitan to persons who owned corpora mercia and also allowed non-senatorial metropolitans to purchase the rank of senator. A Non-senatorial, already existing Metropolitan could pay a one-time, quite large lump sum and his house would be restored to senatorial status.

The qualifications for the non-senatorial Metropolitan office were that the supplicant must pay a lump sum and thereafter personally own a certain amount of wealth in Aurician corpora mercia. The property qualification must be maintained in order to retain the noble office. The corpora mercia entities which are owned still pay taxes. These newly created Metropolitans were expressly not permitted by this act to purchase the office of senator.

ARCY stands for 'Aurician Republican Calendar Year.' All Acts of the Noble Senate since the establishment of the Noble Republic of Aurice are indicated with the year of the Aurician Republican Calendar in which the act was created.
