Orclanx
Orclanx is the divinity of death in the Isxinthion Pantheon and one of the Elder Isxinthion Gods. He appears as a tall, heavy-limbed man with grey skin and a balding head of white hair. Orclanx is served by the Minions-of-Orclanx which in ancient legends carried the souls of the newly deceased down to the underworld. He is sometimes equated with the Neptultchi god of the dead, Metseltonchankra. He is lord of the dead and of the underworld in most cultures who worship the Isxinthion Pantheon. Sometimes, attributes given to him in one culture he shares with his son, Threy (Orkybanth, Kirxios, Luvas, Threwgga, Zulmani) in other cultures or has completely turned them over to the care of his son. For example, in Midretassene culture, Orkybanth was the lord and the judge of the dead, almost completely superseding the role of his father, Orgúdma.
Orclanx is father to Threy and the account of his fatherhood is told in the myth of the Conception of Threy. Depending upon the mythical explanation, Threy can demand or is granted the life of one dead person who had died in the preceding year. Thus, only priests of Threy can normally raise someone from the dead and only if the god Threy expressly approves.
Orclanx was rarely worshiped in public or given a temple of his own by the rulers of the Pallathantic Region and anyone who did so was suspected of the more wicked forms of necromancy. As one of the Elder Isxinthion Gods, Orclanx is considered broadly on par with Amrulon, Parkia, Eriu, Magdaia, Eshik, and Knohm. Amrulon exercises authority over Orclanx, but gives him complete freedom to govern matters in his own dominion of the underworld.
