The Overlordship of Gorcorumb is the official name of the state of Gorcorumb. This was its name during its great empire and since its attrition and decline. The Overlord is the sovereign ruler who governs the state within the customs and laws of dominion. Typically, one of the noble houses of Gorcorumb will possess the Overlordship and its chief person will actually exercise the office of Overlord, acting with the advise and consent of the Senate of the Grand Magi of Gorcorumb and the Hall of Lords of Gorcorumb. His appointed heir must be approved by the Hall of Lords and is titled the Prince of the Ephysgæes who is often, but not always, the crown prince of the same ruling house.
