The Priestesses of the Gods of the Pact officiate at the Temple of the Gods of the Pact and administer dark oaths to the leading members of the Thirteen Ruling Houses of Terub. They are duty-bound to follow the laws of the Pactum Diabolicum.
The chief of their number is the High Priestess of the Gods of the Pact who is the emissary and mouthpiece of the Mistresses of the Pact. She is always of tiefling (diabolic) descent and chosen by the Mistresses of the Pact
The priestesses have various functions. The Moon-bearers are priestess who bear the blood-moon image vexillary of the archdevil Astarte who is one of the Mistresses of the Pact. They bear this vexillum during official ordinances and processions of the Gods of the Pact. Other priestesses are 'camillas' who help with the execution of blood sacrifices that attend the observances and oaths of the pact.
