The Skelkast Forest is a region of the Great Disdrire Forest that rests south of the Kasthavuna River, southeast of Lake Shemel, east of the Valley of the Elves, west of the Warlock Hills, and north of Marshes of Baihu. It is infamous since olden time as an old growth woodland filled with ancient creatures, beasts, and unwelcoming elves. The Glumhurst Hills divides the forest roughly from southeast to northwest. The northwestern portion is the Lower Skelkast Forest and the Upper Skelkast Forest is in the southeast of the woodland. The Disdrirn Elves occupy the stretches of the forest below the Glumhurst Hills and have forbidden all permanent human occupations there since antiquity.
