Thairo is the fourth world from the sun Arsona in the Lankshoni Sector of the Starsea Galaxy. There are two natural satellites to the world of Thairo—the two moons are nearly equal in size to each other. Thairo is somewhat larger than earth or about 7000km in radius. Thairo is home several intelligent creatures, the Klaala, the Juptind, and the Chetzalcuetli. The leafy Sakkraa Trees are also found on Thairo and are important to the Chetzalcuetli.

Thairo is predominantly a desert world with little surface water but a vast sand sea with high and low elevations. It is thought that the lowest elevations were once a deep ocean. Pockets of green oases dot the world and receive water from a vast, subterranean ocean. Many of these pockets are on high plateaus where they receive more rain due to their elevation. Often massive, flatiron-like rocks surround these pocket oases.

Intelligent Life

There are several intelligent life forms that live on the world of Thairo.

Juptind

giant humanoids (8’ to 10’ tall) with dark teal blue skin and pale gold irises. They have black cherry colored hair.

Klaala

(Thairo, plant-beetle symbiont), The Klaala call this world ‘Klaa’. The beetle lives in the roots of the tree.

Chetzalcuetli

The chetzalcuetli, a race of aberrant outsiders, serve as advisors and rulers to the extraplanar city of fabled Azalamb. The world of Thairo is said to be their home. Chetzalcuetli live well over a thousand years and legend reports that the oldest have attained as much as two, three, or four thousand years of age or greater. The body of a chetzalcuetli is an amorphous blob of pale, pinkish or palest olive green flesh, about 36’ to 48’ long and rising about 9’ to 15’ high with thirteen to twenty three rather thick limbs. The chetzalcuetli are rarely found alone, preferring the company of their own kind. They are always encountered luxuriating atop the leaves and branches of a copse of Sakkraa Trees which are cultivated within the colossal halls of the city. A chetzalcuetli has no visible face or morphology and lacks eyes and other recognizable sensory apparatuses, revealing only a lumpy, pale to deep pink hide. Despite this appearance, the gargantuan Chetzalcuetli is hardly defenseless. With its immense mental prowess and psychist (psionic) powers, the Chetzalcuetli is revered as something short of a divinity. Chetzalcuetli prefer to rely upon their formidable powers of the mind or their devoted minions rather than upon physical combat for defense.
