The Uglyami Plateau in the greater northwestern Amandal Plateau

The Uglyami Plateau rests in the western end of the Amandal Plateau, south of the Umyami Plateau. The Uglyami Plateau is drier and colder than the Umyami Plateau. The flow of the Shadew River marks the eastern boundary of the plateau and the Pundgadh Plateau marks the western boundary. The Uglyami Plateau has very cold, winters and short, cool summers. The principle inhabitants, the uglyami (hobgoblins) are known to wage continual warfare against the Jaffgorn Giants who live to the east of them in the Amandal Plateau. The giants are usually victorious, but the uglyami quickly reproduce to replenish their slain numbers.

The Uglyami Plateau is also home to numerous wild beasts including Jadder and Thraughbears.
