Umyami Plateau
The Umyami Plateau rests at the end of the southern spur of the Dragonheart Mountains where the great valleys of Zangolia and Jasturia meet, and where the Shadew River begins its descent into the Valley of Zangolia. The plateau is not so high as the Amandal Plateau, but significantly higher than Zangolia. The Umyami Plateau is also lower than the Uglyami Plateau to the south. The climate is cool in the short summer and cold in the winter. The principle inhabitants of the plateau are various Gakhyami tribes, especially the Umyami (goblins). On Asdar, goblins are small, amphibious creatures who prefer darkness and wet places.
The plateau receives more rain and snow than the higher Uglyami Plateau and has several large, moss-strewn forests. The city of Etzeckel is believed to be ruled by a powerful Umyami Shaman.
