Witch Shard
Witch Shards are rare formations of crystals that formed within a throe waste. They are unusual even within the witchlands and have dangerous magical properties that are poorly understand. Witch Shards are thought to have formed when the throe wastes were first formed during the Anarch Wars. Some researchers believe that Witch Shards are continuing to form. Witch Shards are found within the most direly affected portions of a given throe waste. They are filled with dense chaos magic. Some researchers believe they formed by pressure from the cataclysms of the Anarch Wars that consumed the pan energy of the environment. Some magical energy was not consumed but forced, according to this theory, into relatively small areas where it formed the Witch Shards.
