Yophenthea is a name derived from Yophénthë, the name of the capital of the Yophenthean Empire, which is in turn derived from Yophenth, the name of an ancient Goldenling Tribe. The name Yophenthea originally was used as an honorary name of the isle of Erechóreb, commemorating the subjection of the whole island by the Yophenth Tribe. The word came to mean the entire Yophenthean Empire.
