The Arathracian Principle is the faculty of logic and reason, often contrasted with intuition, illogical inspiration, and the irrational. The philosophical opposite of the Arathracian Principle is the Rhionian Principle. The ideas of the Arathracian Principle and its counterpart the Rhionian Principle were important to the discussions of many of the ancient Ithatian Philosophers.
