Bahraz
The Bahraz is the sacred text of the Imzaha religion and Imzaamis regard it as the most holy book in the world. The Bahraz is divided into five books or sections. Believers regard them as part of the seven books of the heavenly Zankiphresil. According to the Imzaha religion, God revealed the words of the Bahraz to Ammudiyn the Seer. The Bahraz along with subsequent teachings are the core texts of the Imzaha religion.
Outline
The first book deals with Ammudiyn's involvement in the royal household and how he becomes called of God. The virgin sibyl of the goddess Saaqa, king Imsaafal of Shagrela'al, Aasulam, Prince Israbif, and others are important characters in this account.
The second book gives the account of Ammudiyn's trek with his followers into wilderness of Weshif to escape his uncle Aasulam who has become king. In the second book, Ammudiyn receives revelations that explain some core concepts of Imzaami theology, including the duality of God, the nature of heaven, and important principles of salvation. Then, Ammudiyn and followers fight and defeat a sand dragon, Ammudiyn receives revelation about the nature of God, and is commanded to return to Shagrela'al. He converts several tribes in the desert and they accompany Ammudiyn in triumph to Shagrela'al. Ammudiyn and his followers return to Jamjisara, defeat Aasulam, and Ammudiyn declares the people to be free. He preaches and many people convert.
The third book consists almost entirely of doctrinal discussion of the duality of God.
