Battle of Aurice (2585)

Considered by some historians to be the turning point of the Fifth Geddamin War, the Battle of Aurice, 2585 Hearthmoon, was fought largely at sea just outside Aurice between the navy, skyforce, and mercenaries of the Gorcorumbese Empire and the navy and skyforce of the Grand Duchy of Aurice. The Gorcorumbese Empire intended to crush Aurice as a power in retribution for her aid to Corundy and to occupy the city. Aurician forces were barely victorious, destroying and capturing the Gorcorumbese sea force which included three dragonbarges. The Gorcorumbese titancraft sky vessels fled to avoid risking capture. The city of Aurice lost most of her naval defensive force.
