The Djababi Desert rests in the easternmost edge of the desert region known as Shahaz in central Asdauria. It lies just outside the Tangshan Empire. A dry waste, the Djababi is cold in the winter and hot in the summer with little rain and many rocky hills and plains. Only desert herders occupy the land. Historically, it has been part of the Tangshan Empire, especially when it served as a buffer region against hostile nomadic tribes. Today, there are few occupants and fewer merchants. There are no cities but only small settlements that change with the seasons.
Legends records that Djababi was once ruled by mysterious creatures thought to be related to the djinn over three thousand years ago.
