Hezzoumet
A race of powerful sorcerers according to oral accounts that existed before the Flood of Aturyanda in the Drameggin Civilization. They were known for changing beasts and men into other creatures and for gating in beings from other realms to serve them. It is thought that some of the strange beasts or at least the progeny they summoned some fifteen thousand years ago still rove the earth. According to Imzaami belief, they are one of the reasons that God sent the flood to punish humankind.
According to Kalaman legends, the Hezzoumet had horns and worshiped devils. Scholars are uncertain whether the horns were actually part of their physiology or whether they were part of headdresses worn by them. The Hezzoumet are mentioned infrequently in the Aturyandakumi.
