The term 'longsleeve' is a nickname for a studious, arcane spellcaster. It is thought to have originated from the moniker of Kirxionantine of the Long Sleeves. Wizards engaged in the study of spellcraft and the closely related, alchemy were known to wear long, close-fitting sleeves to keep them warm in their cold, stone castles and manor houses.
