The Thracian word for a Viceroyal Duchy is lukkhaminko. The rule of the Lukkhaminko was established as part of Viceroyal Law. The appointed ruler was a Lukkha Sampushá who was said to rule in the name of the King of Thrace, possibly for life. The sense of the word lukkhaminko is mainly the office, prestige, and rights and the actual land did not truly belong to the Lukkha Sampusha but was subject to peculiar nature of Viceroyal Law between the King of Thrace and the native occupants.
