Reaching across the southern shore of Za-Bahuna, the region known as Lwelwembo has a mild to semi-dry climate, similar to the "Mediterranean" climate of South Africa on Earth. The Dzunai River system drains the region into the Baluttu Sea. Lwelwembo is patchwork of human and humanlike tribes and many rulers vying for trade and sometimes military hegemony. Merchants of Lwelwembo do much trade with the Ojo Empire and the Lwelwembo region provides land access for Ojono merchants to the Abchuepi Desert. The Dzakai Strait gives passage for seaship merchants and other voyagers between the Keolamattu Sea and Lwelwembo.
Scholars believe the Babwisi Language and culture originated in western Lwelwembo.
