Papatryo
A shallow, wide-brimmed vessel with side handles similar to a kylix, usually about 83cm (33 inches) without handles and 103cm (41in) wide with handles, the papatryo is a drinking appurtenance of Gorcorumbese culture. The papatryo is essential to Gorcorumbese rites among family, other Gorcorumbese, and with diplomats. A paptryo is typically constructed of metal and often bears fine workmanship with artistic motifs common to Gorcorumbese culture, particularly aristocratic culture. Wine is almost universally the beverage of choice in the papatryo. The great size of the papatryo is easily managed as Gorcorumbese adult men are typically 3.25m (10'8") in height.
In the less common circumstance where the papatryo is employed by humans, usually human diplomats, the human diplomat will use the full size papatryo, but drink out of it with a dipper. The idea of a small papatryo, even for use by humans, is rather laughable to the Gorcorumbese.
The papatryo was a prized piece of war booty during the Fifth Geddamin War. Modified papatryos were used as shields by troops and some Aurician regiments adopted the papatryo as their regimental emblem during and after the war to symbolize their victory over the Gorcorumbese
