Principate law is the name for laws and jurisdiction particular to a Magdalan Principality. Master Titancrafters who are members of the Sovereign Archguild of Master Titancrafters of Pytharnia are largely immune to these laws. Chartered Cities of the Empire of Magdala are independent from Principate Law as they are directly subject to the Emperor and imperial law. The jurisdiction of principate law includes matters of family law, marriage, capital offenses such as homicide, and laws governing property and contracts.
In contrast, imperial law governs Magdala, the relations between ruling princes, relations with the Sovereigners, relations with other countries, the imperial military, and chartered cities.
