The Purple Sea is a body of water that hugs the coast of Wenjobia, lying southwest of Sungo within the greater Sungotine Sea. The sea is so called for its purplish colored waters. Magdeologers believe variously that a mineral or a very small animal lives in the waters of the Purple Sea that causes its peculiar color. The intensity of the color is actually mild and can vary from month to month. The Purple Sea is the source of seasonal rainstorms in Wenjobia and elsewhere in southern Sungo. The sea is important for coastal trade in Sungo and is traversed by sea merchants among Tangshan, Sungo, Ashguatha, Juranica and other important ports in the greater Sungotine Sea.
