Republic of Ithatia

The Republic of Ithatia is a sovereign republic of member islands and cities. Many of the constituent islands were liberated in 2575 from the dominion of the Gorcorumbese Empire in the Ithatian Revolt (2575). The Republic of Ithatia was formed in 2576, although the Gorcorumbese rulers still continued to occupy several of the islands. The Ithatian Republic has continually found Aurice to encroach on its territorial integrity. The republic's principal allies are the Empire of Magdala and the Archduchy of Asbardy.

Government

The government is a federal republic. The highest body of the Republic is the Ithatian Senate which consists of delegates from the constituent municipalities.

Chronology of the Republic of Ithatia

• 2575, Ithatian Revolt (2575), Eshmoon (2m)
• 2576, Republic of Ithatia formed
• 2586, Duchy of Xaphica, Republic of Tlathassa, Republic of Strubia liberated from Gorcorumbese Empire and join Ithatia
• 2589, Aurician Annexation of the Shadevan Delta, war erupts between Aurice and Ithatia
• 2591, conclusion of Shadevan War. Ithatia loses the islands of the Shadevan Delta
• 2612, Duchy of Desthor, leaves Gorcorumbese Empire and joins Ithatia.
• 2668 to 2670, Thykomian Revolt in Aurice's Over-Province of Thykomia, aided by Ithatia and crushed by Aurice
• 2671, Corundian Ithatian States ("Thuvaki") (Xaphica, Tlathassa, Strubia, and Desthor) become independent from Ithatia. Many Ithatians believe their independence was secretly enabled by Aurice as retribution for the Thykomian Revolt.
