Saragean the Stout
b 2251; Taithonsoliar, Erechóreb; d 2319, aged 67; Erithraigonuha, Erechóreb. Saragean dhailg Braganta was a commander in the Eighth Isbajath, 2290 to 2296. He was an Arathracian who helped the Incarnandist tisbajuma defeat Titney the Magnificent Pest. He was solified, made a saint of the Arathracian Church in 2323 by Sunfather Ambry Fioadh.
Saragean dhailg Braganta was born in the Arathracian Sanctuary, Taithonsoliar, outside of the city of Rhafyx. The office of Sunfather had been restored early on in the century and the supreme priest of the Arathracian Church reigned in exile in Rhafyx as the holy city of Yophénthë was still in the clutches of Titney the Magnificent Pest. In 2260 when Saragean was about seven years old, the tisbajuma had just defeated Varyaz the Shapeless on the island of Maturn. His godfather took him from hiding in Erechóreb to Zamaclë, island that rests south of Maturn and was a refuge of law during the Middle Ages of Chaos. In Zamaclë, Saragean learned the Arathracian Religion and heard of the Incarnandists' ongoing struggle to overthrow the Chaos Rulers. At the age of twenty three, he nearly died of a fever. After he recovered, he vowed to Arathrax that he would go up with the warriors against Titney the Magnificent Pest. He felt there was great significance in the fact that he was born the same year that Sunfather Ambry Damagreal I, reigning in exile in Rhafyx, had re-established the order of the Knights-Templar of Arathrax, the sacred order of mounted warriors who served the Temple of Arathrax the Progenitor which was still in the hands of Titney the Magnificent Pest and his chaos minions.
Saragean was part of the advance force of Arathracians who landed on southern Erechóreb in 2293. Saragean was captured by chaos mages shortly thereafter and held captive for several days. Saragean was interrogated by the mages and later said that Saint Aireánnau interceded for him, enabling him and some other captives to escape. They rejoined with the main body of Knights-Templar of Arathrax and occupied Samachta. Saragean fought in the Battle of Baidhihim and participated in the Siege of Yophénthë (2296).
In 2296, Saragean was made a high commander of the Knights-Templar of Arathrax shortly before the Battle of Yophénthë (2296). He and Jedhur Dragonwilled are both credited with the slaying of Titney the Magnificent Pest.
