Scutiger describes dwarvenfire that is especially protected with a titancraft shield designed in 2673 to counter-negate the effect of the sparkless as part of the technological war between dwarvenfire and its opponents particularly as part of the Sewdhaine War. In the 2670's, the tinderquench was invented to cancel out the effects of scutiger. Today scutiger guns are used with improved technology. The advantage of the scutiger is that it combines the relatively cheap technology of dwarvenfire with the sophistication of titancraft shielding—scutigers are more affordable than titanarms.
