Tales of Old Pytharny
Completed in 2555 in the Pytharnian language and later presented to the Imperial Court of Pytharnia, Tales of Old Pytharny is a rich collection of children's stories told and retold among the generations of the rural and working poor of High Pytharnia. Aliskémon Tharstros gathered the tales from his neighbors in High Pytharnia. It is well-known for its inclusion of numerous accounts thought to originate from the experiences of orphaned youths who dwelt for sometime in the palace of of Lord Kualotha of the Groaning Earth and then fled to the countryside when his bizarre enchantments and habits rendered his largesse intolerable. Over two hundred short tales and legends abound in Tales of Old Pytharny and it has inspired dozens of children's storybooks in the 27th century (2600's).
