Ulcanovite Scarab
An Ulcanovite Scarab is a commemorative issued during the reign of Prince Ulcanov of the Shattered Waters. Thousands of these have been found in the Aurician Metropolis and Lucacia. Since they were considered heretical in the centuries following the Fifth Isbajath, little was done to conserve them and hundreds can be found, both in situ and in private collections, throughout the Pallathantic as collector's items.
Ulcanovite Scarabs were carved into semi-precious stone, depicting the face of Prince Ulcanov on the back of a Shadevan Scarab, thought to depict the Dark prince and the source of his magical despotism, the Scarab-of-Night-Turned-Day.
One of the best preserved and most remarkable Ulcanovite Scarabs is the Magianic Scarab found in the Vicif of Magia in Aurice during the excavations for the foundation of the Citadel of the Magitechnic Institute of Aurice.
