Umbardia
Umbardia is a country in northwestern Orrhymby with a mild, mediterranean climate. Part of the Dominion of Umbardia, its lands rest between the desert interior of Orrhymby known as the Tarkhov Wastes and the Sea of Parkyos to the north. The Tvazhi Lúmsha Mountains form the southern boundary of Umbardia that separates it from the Tarkhov Wastes. Much of the lands along the coast are forested. Umbardia was colonized in the middle ages by human settlers from Amerzcelindo and from southern Barathorn who are descended from the Dewyddairsh people. Umbardia is mostly non-urban with many farms and small settlements. Thanks to her rangers, the great reaches of the the country are kept safe and free from humanlikes as much as possible.
Umbardia neighbors Amerzcelindo, Emegul-Thaudh (Old Hearth Mountains), Merethaia, and is along the strait that separates it from Achubaia.
Just off the coasts are naturally occurring insular rocky mesas where the early settlers created small towns. These settlements were called "chakes" from a Dewyddairsh word.
