Developed from Murshadak’s Chamber and designed to work in concert with Ziffler Foils, the Coelodermic Volitundum, or more commonly called simply Volitundum is a chamber in the space between the outer and inner hulls of titancraft vessels which produces added lift. The collaboration of a Sardichite (Dwarven) corpus merx and an Aurician Corpus Merx produced the first working prototype in the early 28th century (2700′s).

The volitundum enables much larger craft and craft with a heavy cargo and is essential to modern heavy warships and the great sky vessels. Despite the great lifting power generated in the coeloderm, the mass of the vessel remains the same and so requires much force to push the craft on its course. For this reason, skyfreighters often move much slower than sky-yachts and titancraft warships.

The chamber within the outer and inner hulls of the craft, called the coeloderm, is a reaction chamber where two forms of magical energy are combined to create an energy field that negates and repels the gravitational force of the earth. The antigeisis or repulsive force of the field is transmitted structurally throughout the craft, enabling the craft to be driven with much less force than should be necessary for its mass. In some craft, the coeloderm is emptied of all air before the magical energies are combined to create the antigeitic effect.

The coelodermic volitundum is used for lift in the light and heavy onogasters of today. It is a type of Jovian Lift System which is different from ziffler foils that are classified as as a kind of Alary Lift System.
