A Zalkoruke is a decorative element in ancient Kalaman and derived architecture. [<zalk seahorse + or augmentative + uka derivative substantive]. Often used to enrich the appearance of temples, especially of the god Vimal, a zalkoruke serves as a support scroll depicting a seahorse half concealed in a conic-shaped shell.
