Thammazite tribesmen water their animals and find shade in a cave by an oasis. Midjourney 2023.

The Thammazite Tribes are an ancient, desert people whose homeland was Shagrela'al no later than 4100 AS. They practiced their own religion and worshiped their own cults. The first Thammazite Tribes emigrated in successive waves in the first half of the fourth millennium before Salmakhamer (ca 4,000 AS to 3,500 AS) out of Shagrela'al. The cultural term, 'Thammazite,' derives from the name of the ancestral divinity, Thammaz, who is acclaimed by ancient tradition as the father of all the Thammazite Tribes. The term became widespread among scholars in the Middle Ages. The Thammazites are considered one of the ancient human Great Flood Survivor peoples.

Thammazite Migrations of the fourth millennium before Salmakhamer.

In the fourth millennium before Salmakhamer, Thammazite Tribes migrated from Shagrela'al into middle Weshif, Shelekhumbia, and northwestern Weshif, and thence into Thyria. Desertification of Weshif and Shagrela'al is thought to be the primary reason for the migrations. The ancestors of the Jerushablans, Cospians, and Narsadese were part of this migration. Other Thammazite migrations included the Barrhushim and the Dagaithi.
