Chalcidium is a poorly understood panphilic metal found in the Chalcidian Wilds. It can be obtained from chalcidionite, a tree-like metallic crystal that grows in vast abundance in the Chalcidian Wilds. These growths can be harvested and smelted to produce nearly pure chalcidium. Chalcidium is becoming more used in titancraft and was anciently used in magical devices. Chalcidium is known only to occur in the Chalcidian Wilds and is rather difficult to obtain due to the remoteness and presence of violent creatures in the region.
Chalcidium has the appearance of clean bronze. It does not tarnish or dim by exposure to air, but does acquire a dark patina with continued exposure to environmental magic or pan.
