Pan
Pan is a terranization of the Asdaran term that means the all-pervading energy. Pan is ambient magical energy spread throughout the universe. This energy exists in varying degrees throughout the world and is essential for all life to exist. Even in places where it is very sparse, such as the Throe Wastes of Lucacia, there is some residual pan present. Pan is essential for the expression of arcane powers and inherently magical creatures rely upon the existence of this ambient environmental magical force. The ability to see pan is essential to the art of arcane spellcrafting and is called vispanifica which is a terranization that means 'panific power.' The present and behavior of pan is called the panstream. Magico-philosophers sometimes call the whole panstream of the world the World Soul, although this use is disputed.
