A pan-shadow is an area in which panergy cannot be readily seen by a panseer nor by a titancraft detector. Some types of titancraft engines cast such a shadow within themselves or in their immediate area. These 'invisible' areas are sometimes used by smugglers to hide contraband from the authorities.
