Government of Aurice
The principle organs of the government of Aurice are the Noble Senate and the Grand Provincial Chamber. Historically since the Aurician Revolution (2627) and traditionally before the New Kalikán Empire, the Senate was the sovereign body of the city of Aurice and Throvy. During the eastern expansion of the empire in the twenty seventh century, the economic and political power of the commoners rose. With reforms, the Grand Provincial Chamber was created and obtained the power to block all taxation from the Senate.
Hymns and Anthems
The official national anthem of Aurice and her empire is Vigilant and Proud. The hymn, "Arise O Golden Phœnice in thy Might," is very popular. The Goscundian March is also well known in Throvy.
