Tassan Highlands
The Tassan Highlands are a hilly plateau located in eastern Corundy. The region is historically the core territory of Midrinksi Tribes that settled in the first millennium before Salmakhamer in the Corundian Peninsula. Culturally and ethnically, they are the most related to the ancient Midretassene Civilization. Most of this region is part of the Aurician Provinces of Zamiria. The predominant language is Tassan. Principal cities include Zeddi, Asdrallen, Exundi, and Uvona. Historic sites include Imbrasio, Flampesha, and Esia.
The climate is rainy mediterranean, due to the relatively higher elevation capturing rainfall. The largest forest is the Takralive Forest. Lake Tyzo is the largest body of water. The Tamajusa Mountains dominate the northeastern reaches of the highlands.
Politically, there is a strong movement for independence from the Aurician Empire and a nearly as strong movement for union with the League of Corundy.
The Paimbalans are a sect of Incarnandism indigenous to the Tassan Highlands.
