Lucacian is the modern language of Throvy and is part of the Ancient Low Gwenyan branch of the Gwenyan Languages. The name 'Lucacian ' comes from 'Lucacia' which is the ancient name for the region. The Exonyms include Jecubian, from Jakubya (Jathya-Dhumi) and Throvian, from the Thracian name, Throvy. Lucacian is related to Rhovanish, Rhovundian, Tassan, and Ferruvicarese. Lucacian may be divided into three parts, Old Lucacian (350 to 1150), Middle Lucacian (1150 to 1725), Modern Lucacian (1725 to 2600). Lucacian is the language of the heartland of the Aurician Empire and thus an important political language of the east Pallathantic Region.
