Gorcorumb
Gorcorumb is the ethnic name of a mountainous region in central Ambrinqua that has been home to the Gorcorumbese Giants since very ancient times. Gorcorumb's core territory is in the southern Ephysgæ Mountains, the Dedune Valley, and the Ayekhem Mountains. Gorcorumb has a mediterranean climate with warm summers, but is prone to cool winters with occasional snowfall in the mountain tops. Gorcorumb receives abundant rain in the winter and late summer.
The capital of the Empire of Gorcorumb, officially known as the Overlordship of Gorcorumb, is Shaprashilara Lum where rise the vast, domed palaces of the ruling houses.
Gorcorumb is home to the indigenous Gorcorumbese Giants or 'Geddamin.' They are race of common giants and thus related to the Adamantine, Kemerite, and Jaffgorn Giants. Gorcorumbese culture underwent a transformation in the very late Middle Ages of Chaos due to the release of the the ancient ones from the kumenontli in the event known as the Awakening of the Geddamin. For this reason, Gorcorumbese civilization is the most advanced of all the giant races in modern-day Asdar.
