The five provinces of Transalpine Agogia

Transalpine Agogia is the northern cantons of Agogia that hug the southern slopes of the Amandal Jaggudorns and rest north of the Shadew River. This high alpine country includes the western portion of the Shadmaus. Transalpine Agogia is part of the Aurician Overprovince of Agogia under the rule of the imperial government in Borenlas. It is divided into five provinces, all of which border the Shadew River to the south.

Thanks to its many south-facing slopes and proximity to the Pallathantic Sea, Transalpine Agogia enjoys a mild summer. The winters are cold with snow through much of the season and into early spring. The land is filled with pines and lindens, with yews, oaks and other deciduous trees in the lower elevations to the south, and the is over fifty percent forested. Unforested lands that are not too rugged for human use are mainly for farms and herding. The high slopes of the Jaggudorns to the north capture much rain from the south, especially in late summer and early autumn, with runoff draining into the Shadew.

Transalpine Agogia is an important source of the very rare crystalline metal, panox, which is essential for most modern titancraft.

Major cities of Transalpine Agogia include Dwarvengast, Far Midretta, Hammergast, and Shadewlas. The nearest and largest foreign city is Dagdoria. Trade between Transalpine Agogians and the Dagdorian dwarves is considerable. Dwarves rely upon agricultural products and panox, while Agogians purchase fine crafted goods, including titancraft engines.
