It is important to distinguish the names of the months of the Arathracian Calendar which are named after the eight sons of Arathrax and their wives from the months in which the eight sons were born. Saint Erithráigean and Saint Erismádhal were said to have been born in their namesake months, but the other six sons were not. In other words, the third son, Eriphírvean, was born in the tenth month of the Arathracian Calendar, but the third month of the Arathracian Year, Gandia, is named after him.
