Babirrhoksha is the capital city of the Free Republic of Rhiony. The city was formerly called Estyo Rhe by the Ithatians. Babirrhoksha comes from an ancient Jathya-Dhumi word that means city of Babirrha (Babirrha + oksha, 'city'). In Kalaman religion, Babirrha was the god of wine, sometimes considered equivalent to the Isxinthion god, Rhio. The inland city rests on the northeastern shore of Lake Shardana (Lake Shallynaffe) at the base of the Peninsula of Sekruna. The northwestern branch of the Rhionite Woods reaches the outskirts of the city. In ancient times, the city was entirely surrounded by forest, but today by suburbs. Babirrhoksha today has a population of about 105,000. The capital is connected to other destinations in Corundy by dragonrail service and a full skyport. Babirrhoksha is famous for its wooded views and fine wines.
