The Dagunyami Plateau lies in the High Shadevan Plateau north of Dragondawn Plateau.

The Dagunyami Plateau is a great rise to the east of the Jaggudorn Mountains, specifically to the north of the Tsakhob'e'el Mountains. Named after the Dagunyami, the plateau has cool summers and very cold winters with heavy snow. The main river is the Tsas'epekatchi River which drains into the Shadew River and the greatest city is S'agondeel which is the cult center of the god Shagushagu whom the Dagunyami believe was fathered by the river god, Shadew. The king of the Dagunyami dwells in his 'palace' in S'agondeel—he is also the high priest of the god Shagushagu. The king's power over the other Dagunyami is relatively weak and he maintains his position by virtue of the awe in which his people hold the god Shagushagu.

The Dagunyami are the principal humanlike inhabitants of the plateau. Trolls, ogres, dakklamidir (mountain giants), and other gakhyami also dwell on the plateau. Asdaran dragons are occasional visitors, especially on hunting trips for prey. The Dagunyami practice herding of gontha and have adopted traditional skycraft from humans in the Jaggudorns. They herd patchudeek and sometimes gamudh as beasts of burden and food. The Dagunyami live in small settlements and subsist upon hunting and herding. In ancient times, they made raids against the humans to the south, especially with skycraft in the second and first centuries before Salmakhamer.
