Glaye
Glaye is the common name for the land of the Kingdom of Glaye. Glaye is a large, broad peninsula in southernmost Barathorn. It is largely flat with only a few gentle hills. The climate is temperate and the land receives gentle rains through autumn and winter with summer rains from the south and southwest from the sea. The four great woodlands of Glaye are the Sarbin Woods, the Pharomac Forest, the Chaguelin Forest, and the Terrembel Woods. The two largest inland bodies of water are Lake Satrimone and Lake Uphraine. The language of the Glaike people is Glaikish. The capital of Glaye is Talise and the largest city and principal port is Enoultseyrand. During the Yophenthean Empire, the land of Glaye was called Sthurbia. The Kingdom of Glaye is divided into twenty one provinces. It borders the Skymark Commonwealth along the South Skrall Mountains and Gonsk to the north. Glaye stretches south into the Leaping Sea.
Glaye was settled in ancient times by independent Colnorian Tribes from Dewyddair. It was previously occupied by remnant Nephershut Tribes. The Yophentheans colonized the land and organized it into Sthurbia. Thanks to its Arathracian heritage, most Glaikish are Arathracian in religious practice. The Glaikish are a mixture of Colnorian and Yophenthean stock.
