Gumoa is an autonomous city-state on the southeastern coast of the island of Ptohlia. It is in name a republic ruled by powerful merchants. Most of these merchants are employees of the Gonfalese Sea Princes so politically the city is regarded as a colony of the Principality of Gonfaloy.
Gumoa is a haven for Gonfalese pirates. With the city's direct access to the Sea of Malankhas, Gumoa is enriched by sea trade between the Pallathantic-Memnosian Region and Zephasia. Gonfaloy is generally a safe harbor for larger merchants from the Pallathantic and Zephasia.
