Lizardfolk
The lizardfolk are a race of reptilian humanlikes who once dominated the Marshes of Baihu. Today they are subjects of the Empire of Magdala. They exercise some autonomy in the imperial chartered cities of K'sangt'o, Sogek, and Tasek. Lizardmen are 2.18m (7'2") tall on average. Distant Relatives of the Lizardfolk are thought to inhabit the Two Bahunas and perhaps central Asdauria, though reports of such are disputed. The lizardfolk speak their own native language. Scholars have attempted to show a relationship to Dragonspeech, without any sizable consensus. The lizardfolk worship their own gods of which some are probably local expressions of major human gods such as of the sun, sky, and earth. The high priest of the lizardfolk is a vassal of the Emperor of Magdala and he holds court in the temple of his gods in K'sangt'o.
