Parkulliam
Son of Amrulon and firstborn son of Parkia, Parkulliam favors self-restraint, moderation, and devotion to the power of light and truth. He is seen as the source of light when other lights have gone dark. He is the patron deity of the Mipnors and Parkyons and beloved of the Kiallanti. He is full brother to Thwar and has occasion to chastise him in epic song for the latter's passionate compulsion. Secular scholars believe Parkulliam was an important god of the High Shadevan Tribes that was synthesized into the Isxinthion Pantheon during the Ancient High Gwenyan Period. In contrast to the self-restrained Parukulliam, his wife, Ida, is goddess of passionate love.
Parkulliam is depicted in art and legend as a tall, handsome man with dark hair, pale skin and deep blue eyes. He wears a dark blue robe and a white cape. When needed for battle, he is armed with a longsword and a breastplate made of the rays of starmoon, created by his sister, Palithreeta.
He prefers to use reason and diplomacy to avoid combat, but fights manfully when necessary with his splendid, shining sword, Palffallangue. He is an exemplar of obedience and service to one's parents. He is called the light in darkness and rites to honor him include candles and lanterns after dusk. Parkulliam expects his followers to uphold the rule of law.
Despite his insistence upon law, Parkulliam was unfaithful to his wife at least once when he fathered the forebear of the Mipnors.
The cult of Parkulliam is considerable in Colnoria, Barathorn, and Umbardia.
