Portal

A portal is a magical gateway to another location or another realm. A typical portal is only large enough to accommodate the entry of one person at a time, although portals designed for titans or dragons can admit several humans at a time due to their great size. The Titan Gates of legend are such portals. Portals require great expertise to create and usually only last for a temporary extent of time. They are thought to drain enormous amounts of pan and thus may be harmful to the local environment.

Mage Portal

A mage of sufficent expertise can create a temporary portal to another locale on the world of Asdar. The best of these rarely last longer than a day. They consume considerable pan from the immediate environment when actually in use.

Titan Gates

Titan Gates are widely considered legendary as there is little if any consensus among scholars of a modern-day example of a functioning titan gate. They are thought to have been somewhat common before the Great Flood, but have passed into the stuff of legend in the intervening millennia to the present day and the titancraft technology used to construct them has vanished from the memory of civilization. Titancraft engineers and scholars expect that a titan gate would enable entry to other worlds and realms, including fabled Azalamb.
