Sand Sea of Dragons
The Sand Sea of Dragons is a small sand sea that rests within a south-facing inlet surrounded by the plateau of the Dragonwood Flats. Various reasons are given for its name: the presence of desert drakes who lurk under the sands or its proximity to the Dragonwood Flats. The Jykk city of Yüp-Kh-Oorob rests on rocky land to the east and the jaibu of I'upadzhaa overflies to the west of the region frequently. Due to the proximity of several settlements in the eastern heartland of Jhaadi Zhumzur, Jykki travelers and half-Jykks are not infrequent.
The Sand Sea of Dragons is largely barren and should only be crossed by well-prepared and well-defended adventures and military units. Even well-prepared travelers with sufficient water and stores may become victims of bandits or corrupt Jykki soldiers. It is recommended that travelers avoid the area or obtain an escort from the ruler of Jhaadi Zhumzhur to ensure the security of person and property.
